Fall Concert

In order to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy, we ask that you observe the following guidelines:

1. Please refrain from talking or whispering during the performance.
2. Please turn off all cell phones, pagers, and watches that may go off during the performance.
3. Please remain in your seat while the ensemble is performing. If you must leave, please do so quietly and between songs.
4. When you would like to return to the performance, please do not enter the performance hall until the song is over and you hear applause. It is very distracting to performers and other audience members to see people moving around during the performance.
5. Please hold your applause until the director’s arms are down by his or her side

Thank you for following these guidelines. It will make the performance much more enjoyable for everyone.

EVENTS

Harvard Band will play at the first home game Friday, September 2, 2011

Harvard Harmony had football seat cushions available.  $3 each or 2 for $5.

Auditions are taking place for the fall musical Big.  The musical will be preformed in November. We are looking for parents to help with costumes and stage crew.

Harvard Band will participate in Band Fest on Sept 10, 2011

Harvard Band will participate in NIU day on Sept 24, 2011

Harvard Band Plays Farmers Market

The Harvard High School Band will preform at the Harvard Farmer's market on Ayer Street. They will preform at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 6th. 

HARVARD HARMONY will be selling seat cushions for football season at Tractor Supply on Rt 14 in Harvard from 8 AM to 10 AM.

BAND CAMP SCHEDULE

IT'S BAND CAMP TIME! 

Monday, August 1st through Friday, August 5th.

8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Here are some tips for band camp.  Remember, the students are marching outside with their instruments in the sun.

• Please be sure your student has plenty of water and a water bottle.
• All students are to have had breakfast before camp. 
• Students should avoid milk products before camp.
• Students need to bring a sack lunch / snacks for the day.
• A hat is recommended.
• Sunscreen is recommended

There will be a special Freashman Day  on Thrusday, July 29th at 10:00 AM.

SPAGHETTI DINNER TO BENEFIT HARVARD HIGH SCHOOL BAND & CHOIR TRIP

Harvard High School students will host a spaghetti dinner to benefit their trip to San Antonio Texas this spring.  The money raised will help offset the cost of the trip for student who will be performing.

The dinner will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 between 5:00 and 7:00 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 E. Diggns in Harvard IL.  Donations are $8 per adult, $5 for children 3 through 12 and children under 2 eat free. Advanced tickets and carry-outs are available.
